Ammie Leachman
Ammie Leachman is a Registered Nurse Specializing in the field of Women’s Health. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2014. Ammie spends much of her time at the bedside as a Staff Nurse providing care educating and encouraging her patients and their families. She is no stranger to having an open conversation about managing mental health conditions trauma, disparities amongst minority women such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder substance abuse, and intimate partner violence.
She works with women and connects them with the appropriate resources to receive treatment, verbalize effective coping resource and have an action plan. Ammie is a firm believer of combining medicine faith and therapy. Ms. Leachman is working toward completing her Master of Science in Nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Outside of work she is raising her 3 year old son, and spends time with family and friends. Ammie has been part of the Queen of Resilience family since its inception and Is committed to the growth of the organization.
